This app keeps to itself.
It accompanies a practice of composing questions from ordinary encounters.
Questions arrive slowly. Sometimes they do not arrive at all. The pauses are intentional. They leave room for what has not yet become a question.
Nothing here asks to be completed. There are no streaks, scores, rankings, or archives. A question may stay with you for a while before another appears.
The app has no account and no server for questions or traces. It stores only what is needed for the present question. If you leave a trace, it remains with that question while it is held. You may also email a trace to yourself; the app only opens a draft, and nothing is sent unless you choose to send it. After the first three question arrivals, continuing to receive new questions is a yearly subscription handled by Apple. Subscription status is checked on your device.
The app does not ask for notifications when you first open it. In the app, under “what this app keeps,” you may choose “occasionally remind me”; only then does the system ask. Reminder lines appear one after another in a fixed, quiet sequence. Otherwise the app simply waits until you return.
To notice the season, the weather, or your movement, the app may briefly use an approximate location. It does not keep it. Nothing about you is stored elsewhere, measured, profiled, or shared.
Over time, the app is designed to become quieter. Questions may arrive less often, and sometimes not at all. The intention is not to replace your attention, but to leave more room for questions that emerge beyond the app.
